GYFTY, Non-metallic Strength Member Loose Tube Stranded Cable

  • The fibers are arranged in a loose, high-modulus plastic tube. A water-resistant filling substance is used to fill the interstice on the inside and outside of the tubes. As a strength member, a fiber reinforced plastic rod (FRP), coated with polyethylene if needed, is positioned in the middle of the core.

  • To create a small, spherical cable core, tubers (and fillers) are stranded around the strength member. To create a cable, a layor polyethylene sheath is extruded around the cable core.
